SAN FRANCISCO Instagram has abandoned wording in its new terms-of-service agreement that sparked outcry from users concerned it meant their photos could appear in advertisements. In a blog post late Thursday, the popular mobile photo-sharing service says it has reverted to language in the advertising section of its terms of service that appeared when it was launched in October 2010. Instagram is now owned by Facebook Inc. and maintains that it would like to experiment with different forms of advertising to make money. Its blog post says that it will now ask users' permission to introduce possible ad products only after they are fully developed. The outcry to the changes announced earlier this week led the company to clarify that it has no plans to put users' photos in ads.

Apple's iPhone 5 has a 4-inch display, LTE, a faster processor, and a new design. (Joanna Stern / ABC News) For months one technology question has drowned out all the others: Should I wait for the iPhone 5? Two million people ordered the larger and faster phone as soon as it went on sale -- sight unseen. Sure, they knew that the new phone had a different design, a larger 4-inch screen, LTE, and a faster processor, but they might not have known much more than that. Did it make calls well? Was it faster than other phones? That's a testament to Apple's brand and its products, but the question remains: Does the iPhone 5 live up to its impressive list of specs when you finally get it out of the box? This is not a phone you will want to put a case on.

And it’s completely bogus, experts said Monday. The message, which you may have seen posted to the billion-strong Facebook user community by one of your friends, advises you to post a few lines of text to your Facebook wall to protect your copyright online: In response to the new Facebook guidelines I hereby declare that my copyright is attached to all of my personal details, illustrations, paintings, writing, publications, photos and videos, etc. (as a results of the Berner Convention. ) For commercial use of the above my written consent is needed at all times. (Anyone reading this can copy this text and paste it on their Facebook Wall.
